José qualified as a dentist in 2005 from the prestigious Universidad Europea de Madrid, one of Spain’s leading dental schools. After beginning his career in his hometown of A Coruña, on Spain’s beautiful north-west coast, he went on to gain extensive experience both in Spain and internationally.

 

During his studies, José developed a strong interest in oral pathology and was awarded a Diploma as Internal Student of Medical Orofacial Pathology, which led him to lecture at national and international dental congresses. He also volunteered with Dentists Without Borders, providing free dental care to underserved communities in Nicaragua — an experience that shaped his belief that everyone deserves access to quality oral health care.

 

Following qualification, José completed advanced oral surgery training in Cuba, where he further developed his surgical skills in extractions and dental implants. In 2006, he relocated to the United Kingdom, where he has since cared for patients across Cardiff, Ashburton, Truro, Hayle, Tavistock, and Plymouth.

 

José has a deep commitment to continual learning and professional growth. Over the past two decades, he has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in oral surgery, implant dentistry, periodontology, and endodontics, learning from world-renowned experts in their fields. His specialist interests include bone regeneration, soft tissue management, and full-arch implant rehabilitation (All-on-4/6), and endodontics (root canal treatments).
